Banff Arts Centre

I was wondering if anyone has had any expereince with the Banff Summer Music program? Last year I went to Orford Academy in Quebec and this year I was hoping to try something else. Any thoughts?

I went for a couple of years- overall a good experience. If you are looking for a lot of orchestral playing it isn't so good, but if you want to relax, practice quite a bit, and go hiking it's great. If Chen is teaching again go- he's a fantastic player/teacher.

Chen Halevi is teaching in the Summer of 2009. Just anohter quick question, were there lots of opportunities to perform as a soloist and in Chamber groups?

In my 5 years at the UofC you are the only other clarinetist I've seen post on here... haha.

That being said... no experience with The Banff Centre... yet! Sorry.
