Hello,
Does anyone know what mouthpiece this is? It was given to me about 12 years ago by a clarinet instructor named Ralph Strouf who has since passed away unfortunately.
It has a rather closed facing as a regular Vandoren #4 feels just right on it. There is a "BP02" inscribed on the side of it and I can't quite make out what the cursive writing says. On an R13, if I don't pull out after warming up, it plays the throat tones flat, the lower chalameau in tune, and the clarion slightly sharp. The altissimo register is mostly in tune.

Is this mouthpiece considered any good? I have a B45 which is MUCH more resistant and I've been thinking about getting a new mouthpiece altogether but don't know where to begin.

Back in the 1970's, the Charles Bay MO-M and the Portnoy BP02 were the mouthpieces of choice for our high school clarinet players.
