 shaping reeds

Question, I noticed that the shape of the tip of the reed does not match the shape of my mouthpiece.

Any of you pros custom cut your reed to exactly match your mouthpiece? Or is this something no one has thought about?

Many people sand the tip with extremely fine grain sandpaper, say about 800+. Others (most of us probably) just put up with it because we find it makes little difference as long as the reed is well balanced.
