Saw the clip of this very fine clarinet player on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWiNiLE_ck8
I really would like to get the music for this and is it available in the USA...
What about all his other songs on you-tube? Is the music available for them as well?
Thanks

He's cool! I think you can probably just e-mail him yourself, actually. He (Israel Zohar, the clarinetist) is the guy who posted that clip. If you click his YouTube username and follow a link or two it takes you to his website, which is all in Hebrew, but does give a e-mail address for him.

I've heard that piece before, so I'll bet you can find that piece somewhere in the U.S., too. Tom Puwalski (on this board) plays a lot of Klezmer--maybe he'd know where to look to find it.

Hi......
I don't think it has a name. It's one of many Bb minor Bulgars written and originally peformed by Dave Tarras. I don't know if it has ever been published but several people have taken it off old recordings.........I may have an old manuscript copy of it......I'll try and find it in the next few days.

Thant sounds really good to get a copy of it...I bet it will be fun to learn and to teach many of my clarinet students here in the mid-west...we are learning about different styles of music and many in the Mid West know nothing about Hebrew music on the clarinet other than viewing it on You-Tube after I found it...kids really love it and its such a good teaching tool for music from around the world...
Thanks for checking on it...
One final Question, how can I save the You-tube clip to a DVD on a PC and a Mac. Love to make a DVD to show on a big TV in class...
Thanks
Dennis

dmfett,
If you have real player install in your computer when you put the mouse cursor over the youtube video it should give you and option to download this video. Download it and then use real player to burn to a disk. That should work.

FYI:
Any transcribed versions of this will most likely not include the many many ornaments he uses, but will be the basic melody.
