 Eugene Bozza Concerto
Author: Rob

My friend is playing this, and he wants to know where he can find a recording of it. He's already tried a search on Amazon, and no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions I can pass his way? Thanks, as always.

LEGBANDT, ROLF, CLARINET
BOURGEOT, MICHEL, PIANO
CORONET LPS 3027

Probably not available anymore - but you might get lucky.

The Legbandt is (was) an LP and is long deleted. The album name is, I think, "A French Clarinet Recital." IMHO, the record also has the best performance ever of the Poulenc sonata. He's a fabulous player, and the record is worth seeking out in the used record bins. He teaches at Ball State. I met him several years ago at the Clarinet Congress at Oberlin - very nice, somewhat reserved fellow, but boy can he play!

Best regards.

Ken Shaw
