Hi. I just want to take the opposite point of view to a comment put on another post about the new 'E-Mail to address' option at the bottom of the Board.
I switched on my E-mail, and found 47 messages on it!!!
For someone who doesn't get enough time to check through them, I was completely horrified by this.
This is just a warning to other users of the board that if you check the box (Tick) at the bottom of the screen, you're likely to be flooded with e-mails about other people.
Just warning you all, this is not a complaint about the new system - I think it's absolutely magnificent.

What exactly did you think it would do? It's pretty explicit.

47 Mails?
I thought the checkbox mails only replies within the current thread. Never seen a thread here that long.

If you put the checkbox on a bunch of threads ... you're going to start receiving a lot of mail

Followups on the thread automatically get emailed to you so you don't accidentally miss them

Yes, Mark is right with that last message, and I totally agree with the idea. All I was doing was warning the other users about MISusing this function, and accidentally getting around 30 messages in 3 days.
It's a pain to have to check them all when you're short on time.
For Rene's information, I did have 47 messages that day, but I'm exaggerating a little since half of them were from other souces, and some were old ones that hadn't been deleted. I'd say it was in the region of 15-20 messages in fact.
Sorry for the confusion.
Dave.
