I recently found a 5RV lyre that I used to play on a few years ago, and I found that is has a significant amount of tip damage. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendation of where to get it sent, should I want to get it repaired.

What is a "significant amount of tip damage?" Is the tip still there and just chipped a little, or is it broken?
Also, it might be cheaper to buy a new one or a slightly used one than to pay for a repair unless you find someone who is willing to do it at a very minimal price.
If you have a photo that would help.

I would also heartily recommend Brad. He repaired what looked like a totally lost Kaspar mouthpiece for me a couple of years back and you can't tell it was ever broken. Mine had a very large semi-circle break off the tip. He is a master mouthpiece maker. Top-notch gentleman, to boot!

Wow...I didn't know his services were so cheap. I may have to send my Ched in to get him too to have him look at it (the rails aren't even and I want to close it off a bit). Thanks for the suggestion!

Are replacements of the 5RV still available?
It wouldn't seem cost effective to rework a machine-made mouthpiece...

sure - it is still a very popular mouthpiece.
any of the online vendors should have 5RV and 5RV-Lyres.
try weinermusic.com
there are several flavors - traditional (a442) and 13 series (a440).
