I am soloing with my orchestra and selected Introduction, theme and variations in Eb. Our librarian bought and can only find The Variations in C.
Does anyone know the publisher or rental house for the Intro etal? The concert is October 4th and I just found out they have the wrong piece. I can do the Variations, but the Intro in Eb is a better piece IMHO and I have put huge time into it. Thanks All, Gary

This sounds like Deja Vu all over again. The same thing happened to me (including the orchestra's purchase of the Variations in C) when I performed the piece several years ago. I found rental parts at Southern Music. I think David Hite was the editor. As I recall, the rental fee was around $175 for three performances so probably around $125 for one. My guess is that this is less than Schirmer's fee. The parts were photocopies of handwritten parts but the lower cost was important to a low-budget orchestra. (How low budget? They had me as soloist. ).
Best regards,
jnk
