I'm curious if anyone out there with experience using Gonzalez FOF reeds can comment on how long they last in comparison to Vandoren V12s. Thanks in advance for any info!

In recent years I've used Vandoren V-12 then Gonzalez and now I use Glotin GIII but I'm trying out the Xilema professional which are very promissing. The Gonzalez last me about 1/3 to 1/2 longer than Vandoren V-12. My former teacher said to me on Sunday that the quality of the Vandoren cane were going down and he had gone through 3 boxes of V-12 without finding a single playable reed. Then he had just bought a box of PL Class reeds professional French cut size S(Strong) and they all were too stiff but after adjusting them with the ATG reed finishing system they all played extreamly well.
