I've seen threads that say a bass neck can be bent to allow a more oblique angle between the mouthpiece and the body, but I haven't found a link to anyone who actually does or could do this. Can anyone help?
My interest for bending the neck are:
1. to have a better angle with the mouthpiece (take in more reed, ability to hold clarinet better with upper teeth - I have an older single reg. vent plastic Normandy)
2. perhaps to lengthen the air column in the neck a bit - I have to pull out at both ends of the neck.
Until I can afford a used 1193 or at least a 925c, maybe bending the neck can help tide me over.
Thanks.
