 Bass Clarinet Comedian
Author: Don Poulsen

A couple of years ago, an acquaintance told me that she and her husband attended a local (Indianapolis) comedy club. During the performance of a duo of comedians, an object covered by a sheet stood on the stage. Late in the performance, one of the two removed the sheet to reveal a bass clarinet that he then played.

Would anyone know who these multitalented performers might be so that I can be on the lookout for them? (Anyone who can be humorous and plays a bass clarinet should be envied by everyone, right? The Victor Borge of the bass clarinet.)

I, a while back, made the acquaintance [by a minor Bass cl repair] of a couple, right here in River City! She plays the bass, he guitar and both sing. They were in Nashville for some time, song-writing and performing, grew tired of the fight, I guess, and moved back to the old homestead here. Believe they perform for some local churches. Will try to re-find names if this fits your description, Don 's
