I was wondering if someone could give me a link to a good site, or a good book on how to maintain the quality, strength and over tone and response of the reed. And also how to alter bad reeds in regards to sanding, trimming, cutting, shaving.
This would be great as i always buy a box and never know how to fix the reeds that are too hard or just unresponsive, or infact to soft and over responsive.
Thanks

Hello Dean,
There are many different philosophies on how to treat and adjust reeds. I would recommend that you search the Board for "curing" reeds.
As for adjustment, Tom Ridenour's ATG system is worth every penny and is an invaluable method. Were you to start with Tom's method, you might not need to go any further. If you decide you need more, then you can build on what you learn with the ATG.
