I recently aquired a Boosey and Hawks clarinet. It was in a Bundy case, along with 3 mouthpieces, 2 ligs, 2 caps and 2 barrels.
One of the barrels fits the clarinet and plays well. The other barrel is wider on the outside with a slightly smaller bore and it is 63mm long. The body end of the barrel has very thick walls and is to small to fit the clarinet. The mouthpiece end of the barrel has very thin walls and is to big for the mouthpieces. It cannot possibly belong on this clarinet even though it appears to be made of the same wood as the clarinet and has metal rings on the ends that match the normal barrel. Anybody have any ideas on what it is?

I think someone just tossed everything that remotely resembled clarinet stuff into the case. Maybe some other person now owns a clarinet without a suitable barrel.
Take what fits and sounds nice, sell the rest. (there is an auction site whose name I constantly manage to forget)

I think Yamaha has shorter barrels (like 63 mm), at least their high-end clarinets do. Maybe other brands have different sizes as well. There are no markings on it, I guess...hard to identify.
