Hello All,
I just recently bought a fully serviced and repadded Selmer USA CL-200 clarinet. I have no idea how old this instrument is. I love its sound and I would love to be able to get a rough age on it. The serial number is #1650
I will upload some photos to my site tomorrow.
Thanks for your help!

I have one. Purchased brand new at the time. These were instruments from the 90's, so they're not that old. This particular instrument is at my father's house so I can't match serial numbers with you, but I'm thinking no older than 10 years (give or take a couple years). Did well for me in both high school and college.

Ok if you have a chance, please take a look at the serial number and let me know.
Do you recall if it has the shiny gold logo on it? Mine just has an emossed logo. Perhaps the gold paint/leaf wore off.

I have what I've been told is likely an early version of the CL 200. It has no logo other than Selmer USA and has gold keys. The serial number is 1052.
The printed material that came with it is dated 1991 and the tech who did some work on it says that the wood is superior to the Selmer Signet Soloists that she has worked on. I've seen similar instruments for sale on e-bay (also with gold keys) and they were CL 220's. I also tried to contact Selmer USA to enquire as to its production date but had no luck even getting a response.

Mine has CL200 stamped on it. And regular nickel plated keys.

I don't have access to the clarinet now as it's stored at my father's house, but the model is a Selmer USA and NOT a Selmer Paris (which are two different companies) model, so you won't find the shiny gold logo stamped on it.
But again, good instrument.
