Adolphe Sax and his Saxophone - PDF

The 1949 book Adolphe Sax and his Saxophone, published by the Belgian Government Information Center, is now available as a PDF at http://www.archive.org/details/AdolpheSaxAndHisSaxophone. It has a bunch of fairly funny cartoons. I haven't read the text yet, but it appears to be as much about his brass instruments as his saxophones.

It's worth noting that this book is now in its fourth edition, with substantial factual corrections from the 1949 edition, including extensive notes by Sigurd Rascher. It's not free, but it's cheap:
