I fully agree. I consider my clarinets only as a real tool to realize my musical interpretation and to reach my ideal of sound quality. I'm happy with my Wurlitzers as all of you are probably happy with your instruments. I'm aspecially happy that my instruments are made for more than one lifetime. It doesn't matter for the audience if you are playing on system a or b. It is the player who makes the sound!

Hi, Hans -
That has been my experience over the years as well. I've played Albert(Oehler or German) system horns nearly all my life and the only thing that really matters to listeners is whether they enjoy the sounds that come out of it.
I'd never gotten heavily into the technicalities of playing until I 'discovered' this BB. I mean, if the reed works and the mpc blows easy that was good enough and tips from other players along the way helped me out some. For example, I was once persuaded to try a Bonade ligature and now would use nothing else (although a big rubber band might work as well) :]
Seriously and subjectively, this BB has been both useful, information wise, and inspirational from so many different viewpoints of player input.
Let's not forget an occassional word of thanks to our Webmaster, Mark, for making it all possible too.

I certainly echo Ron's sentiments, and comparing what we have and do here with the "competition", we are WAY AHEAD!!
