I asked back in November of last year on the Klarinet list if anyone would be interested in getting access to the Groves on-line through Sneezy. I should have asked here, too, so I will now. Here's the update on what's happening:
This is around the time that Groves was supposed to go online. They've moved the date back to January 2001, so nothing will happen until then.
I was hoping the annual fee per person could be kept very low - $15 or so. I don't think that's going to be feasible with the way the pricing structure works and the number of concurrent connections. Instead, I think I'll be offering 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year access instead to keep things more affordable. I'm estimating prices would be $20, $30, and $50 (USD) respectively.
If you're interested please drop me a line at groves@sneezy.org.

Groves is the reference books for music. Your library probably has a set. The set of books costs near $5000, which is why most people don't have them at home.
The real title is "The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians". The website is http://www.grovemusic.com.
