I'm fairly sure that our board members who currently attend college have been handed or informed of their audition placement music by now. I was hoping if no one minds, could you list what you were given for an audition list? I'm very curious what is being asked.

Here at North Texas, we have about 6 excerpts. A couple from Scheherazade, the 1st clarinet part to the duet from Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture, small excerpt from the final movement of Mozart's Gran Partita, and an excerpt from Nelson's Rocky Point Holiday. In addition, we prepare about a minute's worth of something from the solo literature.

Here at University of Kansas, excerpts from Kurt Weill's Suite for Wind Orchestra from the Threepenny Opera and Verdi's La Forza del Destino (M.L. Lake transcription). It's an odd list...
