I found one I might be interested in buying for my daughter but the serial number search came up with a BC1139L-2 model. I don't see a -2 model on the Buffet site but a search of that came up with some shops in the UK with that model. So is it a European model?
Thanks,
Deana

I found your model number at a store in the US, as well. The Festival comes with two barrels to tune at 440 and 442 so it is not specifically for the European market. Buffet may have simply dropped the -2-0 from the model number for current Festivals, particularly if silver plating is the only option on that model. Or they may have omitted it on their website descriptions. They still use that block for the R13. Where it appears in the descriptions, the -2 tacked on to the end of model numbers generally designates silver plating.
FWIW, IMO, $2,000 is a bit pricey for a used Festival, unless it comes with a Backun bell and barrel.
Best regards,
jnk

Thank you for the reply. It was made in 2002 and she still has the original box too. For one that new do you still think 2K is too high?
Thanks again,
Deana
