Clarinet Hero...after every level the reeds get harder. :-)
Actually, a clarinet-based video game would probably look more like one of those role-playing-type games where you have to go on quests to find magical pieces of equipment...

At the highest level, you'd be required to use the most bizzare alternate fingerings.
I wonder how the character on Clarinet Hero would be dressed?

Our inventions are wont to be pretty toys, which distract our attention from serious things. they are but improved means to an unimproved end, an end which was already but too easy to arrive as railroads lead to Boston to New York

Long live The Onion! I love the description of the "fun" rewards:
>>If they hit enough correct notes in a row, the on-screen crowd yells "huzzah" and "bully," and the sousaphone's spit valve will "drain." >>
On Clarinet Hero, we'd earn a new ligature for playing in tune or water in the tone holes if we squeaked. The audience could switch in an instant from humans cheering to cats hissing.

Or, the audience would start coughing, clearing their throats, shuffling their feet, and getting up to go to the restroom if too many squeaks or wrong notes occurred.
