 Question - need help

Hello,
I was wondering how to tell a B-flat from an A clarinet (Soprano). I know the A is taller than the B-flat (right??), but I am buying a clarinet from someone on e-bay and they don't know if it is a B-flat or an A. I tried the serial number but it is not in the Buffet db or whatever (I've come to find anything prior to the 70's is usually not in their db when you search the serial numbers). I believe the seller said it was 25" long (that's without mouthpiece).
Thanks for your help,
Claribari
