 Scale fingering question
Author: DrH2O

My fingers are in a knot!

I'm currently working on some of the Klose scale and arpeggio exercises and have hit a fingering snag. On the p123 scale exercise going from G# minor into E major, I have to go from a low G# down to low E then up to F# to G#, etc. How do I navigate this? Is this a place where I have no choice but to slide or is there an alternate fingering that makes this easier?

Similar problem with the G# min arpeggio on pg 128 that takes me from G# (top of staff) down to B then up to D# to G# and to B. It seems like sliding is the only way to achieve this, but I'm hoping I'm missing something.

Thanks,

Anne
