My teacher wants me to begin studying Jeanjean's 18 Etudes, but I can't find the book anywhere! Does anyone know why?

Go to the bottom of the page, type in jeanjean in the sheetmusic-plus box, and hit "go". The second entry is:
18 Etudes-Jeanjean / Clarinet Classification: Misc. Instrumental Method Books, Solos, Ensembles. Published by Alfred, 1940. (651)
Your price $8.95
If you buy it through sheetmusic-plus you'll get to help sneezy.org, too!

I can't answer your question, but you could try calling Joseph Patelson Music House at 212-582-5840. Last time I looked, they had it.

Thanks for all your help. I ordered a copy from SheetMusic Plus.com, and it should arrive in 1 or 2 weeks. Can't wait to get started!

I suggest that you ONLY do the Jeanjean WITH a teacher. They are to complicated to attempt on your own. And if you have a teacher (as I do) that studied the Jeanjean before they switched publishers, then I suggest that you take a look at his or her book because there is some useful stuff that is no longer available in the new edition from the new publisher.
Good luck,
Frank
