recorder forums?

This bulletin board has been a great resource, and I'd like to know if such a thing exists for recorder players. Google didn't come up with much, although I did find the recorder home page, which has many interesting articles.

To give my tinnitus a chance to heal I have temporarily (I hope) retired my clarinet, and invested in a lovely renaissance-style tenor recorder. I'm looking for advice, but with a different bore and fingering system than a baroque instrument, mine are perhaps not typical recorder questions.

Can anyone here point me in the right direction?

There are several recorder forums. The most active (though far less active than here) is http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/recorder/.

Another Yahoo forum, sadly quite inactive, is http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/RecorderFriends/?yguid=167263160, and there's an almost completely inactive forum of sellers at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/recorder_marketplace/?yguid=167263160

There's another forum with quite a few old postings but little current activity at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/recorder_marketplace/?yguid=167263160.

There are some fine players on these forums, but most of the members are at the beginner level, and far too many questions are of the "what's the best plastic soprano" type.

I follow the Recorder forum and answer the interesting questions, as does my wife, who wrote her Ph.D. dissertation on recorder method books. Come over there and we'll talk.
