I'm curious. How difficult is it to go from bflat clarinet to basset horn in F?

Can't be too much different. My son had to play basset horn in his college orchestra last year for one of the programs and didn't remark on any difficulties.

From my minor exposure to the GREAT B H [a modern Selmer], I found that my acquaintance with my Selmer alto cl helped me greatly, and I didnt have the problems encountered by my sop cl-playing friends [both better than I]. However, to play those beautiful lower notes required thought-concentration and thumb-dexterity. All in all, a fine experience we all should have. Don
