Hi Erin, how's it going? I suggest you apply something like Anbesol, Blistex or Camphnor Phenol after you finish practicing each time. They don't taste good and may even burn slightly but medicate and "kill germs". I use one after each playing. Of course you have to apply it where it becomes sore, even inside. ESP
