 I have a clarinet that is marked "Evette sponsored by Buffet Paris France" with (what I suppose is the) serial number C5239 stamped on the lower piece, and D27 stamped under the keywork of both pieces.  I have looked at the "How old is my..." pages on sneezy.org but none of the serial number formats seems to match a "C" followed by 4 numbers, so maybe this is an Evette numbering scheme.  Can anyone help me find the age of theis clarinet?  Thanks.

 Please do a search here on the BBoard. An "Evette sponsored by Buffet" is not a Buffet clarinet and does not use the same serial sequence, any more than a "Mazda sponsored by Ford" would use Ford numbering sequence.
