figure intonation and weigh the cost benefits between water collecting between the upper joint and the barrel. if the intonation doesn't cut out, then just return it. but if intonation is fabulous, then keep it and see if you can find a washer that might close that gap. i had a barrel that had a similar issue, except the bore was narrower then the upper joint. minor issue. tunes fantastic.
