Dear Friends
it has been a long time since i have been able to post or read anything on the BB. I miss it terribly but i wanted to tell you all hi....espcially Dee and Mark!! :P i have a request my old band director just offered me a job teaching beginning clarinetists at my old school for about three hours a week i will be working with 6th and 7th graders and i would like any suggestions on getting my teaching career started. if at all possible could yall respond by EMAIL as i am attending nursing school and only have time for that. if you can't i will try to get back on the BB ASAP....any response is appreciated!! thanks in advance good luck to all

Welcome back, Benny, hope you have had some helpful EM's. I would suggest some of our good books, Brymer, Lawson, Pino, Willaman, Rendall, Baines etc all do some teaching that you can profit from. I have been asked frequently if I will teach, usually answer no, because lack of confidence in my ability to teach MUSIC, as opposed to care, maintenance and repair etc of the horns, the latter which I am happy to pass along to those who will listen.
