 wooden clarinet barrels and bells

I have several older wooden clarinets that have loose rings on the barrels and bells.

What would be the best fix to keep them from falling off or from twirling?

Thank you for your knowledge.

Many repair techs have a press that will gently compress these to refit them. It is an easy fix.

These loosen up when the wood gets too dry. You need to get them some higher humidity and then oil the bores.

A Search [above] of our many discussions re: loose rings due to low humidity, dry wood, etc and remedies for them, will give you more info than you may want. Luck, Don
