Some guy on Youtube takes a big carrot, hollows it out, drills some holes in it, (all on camera) and then plays it rather well. His tone is about as good as the old Lawrence Welk band clarinets,(Pete F. excluded).
Kind of cutsy pie or an amusing original, depending on your viewpoint.

I wouldn't disparage the clarinetists from the Lawrence Welk band.
Aside from Pete Fountain, there was also Peanuts Hucko and his replacement Henri Cuesta...GBK

I was speaking rhetoric-ironically...over the years there were a number of good musicans with the Welk bands.

I thought this thread would be about somebody dressing up as a carrot, playing the clarinet, maybe doing the Francaix concerto. Now that would be a great video. Even some gyration wouldn't spoil that.
