Hi everyone. I'm looking to use Brooklyn Bridge for a Wind Enesmble competition in the fall but I need to find a piano reduction. I haven't been able to locate one. Does anyone know if a reduction has been released for the piece or is it still being waited on?

I did the premiere of the clarinet and piano version at the University of Oklahoma Symposium last year, using a pre-publication score provided by Boosey and Hawkes (with the composer's permission). It was supposed to be available at the beginning of 2008, but I don't know the status of that now. The best thing to do would be to contact Boosey and Hawkes directly.
Michael intends for the clarinet and piano version to be a performance version, and not just a study reduction, so I anticipate lots of performances of this excellent work when it is available.
I don't know what he decided to to with the percussion parts, which are prominent. He did not want me to use a percussionist, and wanted the pianist to do things like clap, stomp, etc.

Sell eh? I'd like to be able to perform it on a recital and also use it for the Wind Ensemble competition that happens here every year. I felt since I haven't got it this past year that I needed something with a little appeal. I guess X Concerto wasn't what they were looking for, but it was pretty political and they've never given it to a clarinet player. I'd like to start working on it ASAP so I can get it as close to perfect as possible for next fall.
