I just had my Evette master reworked and re-plated for my daughter. It is even better than before... better than all the R-13's I have played. I am excited about getting my vintage (1952) R-13 back from the rebuilder in a few weeks. I had it completely re-done, pads, corks, plating, burnishing the bore, etc. Sue at Woodwind and Brass wind did great things on the Evette so I am sure the r-13 will be nice.
So it is time to start looking for a better mouthpiece for the horn, I have been using a glass Pete Fountain, a VanDoren and a Brillhart. I want to try some better mps to see if I can get a better tone. I play in Big bands and the local college orchestra. Does anyone have suggestions for mouthpieces which will bring out the best in a well restored older horn?

Have you considered the Gigliotti P* series? They seem to mate well with a more resistive horn (is this a smaller bore than the RC series?)
PS - I use the Vandoren M14 with my Master model.

Try Viotto mouthpieces. They bring out the best in any clarinet, really they do! Especially the rather new G3-series is fantastic.
