I have been invited to a summer music camp where a lot of music will be read, most likely woodwind quintet literature. As sight-reading and "reading" are not exactly the same thing for me, I'd love to look at some music before I get there.
I don't know much about woodwind quintet literature so I would be very grateful if you could send me some pointers to standard repertoire I should have a look at.

Six Bagatelles by Ligeti; two excellent arrangements for the Philadelphia
Woodwind Quintet: Quintet in E flat (from the sextet, opus 71) by Beethoven and
Mason Jones's transcription of Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin.

If you are looking for literature from the common practice there isn't much. There is a very good quintet by Taffanel, but I can't think of much else. A couple of the Reicha's are pretty good as well.
If you would like to do Ligeti, the 10 pieces is an amazing work. This would probably be an all summer project; it is extremely difficult. There is a wonderful Elliot Carter quintet from early in his career. The Villa Lobos quintet is quite nice as well.
There are of course some standards as well: Barber Summer Music, Hindemith, Ligeti 6 Bagatelles, Francaix, etc.

The woodwind quintet is rich with excellent material, and this material needs to be learned as orchestra studies, but in some instances they are much more difficult. The Hindemith Chamber Music for Winds" is the most interesting and one of his own best works. The parts interestingly enough were written separately, one at a time while riding the train to Berlin each day, The score was written after. Consider the technic of that man!
Then there are the many Reicha(s) Quintets, all in the repertoire and some are very lovley. The Quintets by Danzi are also frequently performed, but don't need perhaps as much study.
Hindemith also wrote a sextet for Wind Quintet and Bass Clarinet, but maybe there is also trumpet.
Villa Lobos has very difficult stuff and so too does Neilsen which will give you a run for your money. Poulenc has the Sextet with Piano. Back when I had a quintet, we used to use what we called the Orange Books, (named for the color) which includes Taffanel, Beethoven and others all very well done for the group. And of course the one few play, the Schoenberg. Many works by Bach were arranged by the bassoonist Reichman, if I remember his name correctly. They are available and excellent. Oh, I forgot the one I think I played more than any other, the Ibert, really a fun piece, with challenging clarinet parts.
Whoops, also Jean Francaix has a really difficult quintet, but also light and funny. And Gino Cioffi always talked about the Quintet by Bozza, not great, but greatly difficult.
Irving Fine has a beautiful work for Quintet and the Barber Summer Music is a challenging work as well. That is a good start. Gunther Schuller also has two works, one a kind of silly bluesy work, the other quite a challengng piece. In Tanglewood we were assigned the easy work, chose to do the difficult one with which Gunther was quite impressed. It wasn't that difficult at all.Spohr has a sextet with piano and Rimsky-Korsakov has a quartet as I remember. That will do for a start. Have a nice summer.

Persichetti wrote a fine piece or woodwind quintet. Begins with a flute and clarinet duet!

I haven't heard about that one, but there is an excellent Septet by Hindemith for WW Quintet, Bass Clarinet and Trumpet.
