Hey, does anyone know anything about Gigliotti clarinets? They're very inexpensive, and I'm kinda considering getting one as a beater/ backup. I'm particularly interested in the Rosewood student model (http://1stopclarinet.stores.yahoo.net/gisr1rostbbc.html).
Anyone have any recent experiences with these?

His name is only licensed so don't expect anything more than a CSO or in laymans terms a POS ....
His name used to mean something before his widow rented his name out for such wonderments as red and blue colored mouthpieces.

Although your interest will wane very quickly after you buy one. Stick with the names you can trust.
What's that noise? Oh, it's Anthony Gigliotti turning in his grave.

Yes, he designed the Selmer 10G Clarinet and was Principal Clarinetist of the Phila. Orch for about 50 years. Taught many top players and was faculty at Curtis for 35 years. He also made a very good mouthpiece. Was also one of the Contributors to the Vandoren V-12 reed project.
Died back in 2001, and his name has been used for "other products" which he had nothing to do with.
