Can any one explain to me how to do the double lip embouchure and what are some of the advantages of using it.

Lower lip as with normal embouchure, upper lip rolled JUST under the upper teeth. This may help in the altissimo register...
my teacher has me do it as a reminder not to bite. With double lip you can get some very sensitive transitions for lower dynamics. It is also a strength builder.
I can only play this way for about ten minutes, and leaks develop. Michael Moor's page has some on this also.

Keith Stein's The Art of Clarinet Playing has a chapter on it.

You can look up at Klarinet Archive on this matter. There are plenty of discussions.

Doble lip can help to build a better sound quality and also to have a better idea about "point" or focus of the sound.
My teacher suggest me to do that for a couple weeks and I thinks that was really productive.
