I collect the LeBlanc line (they're so PRETTY!)...
I can't discern much playing difference between the L7/L27/L200/Lx2000 clarinets - they're "from the same woodpile"...
The Opus/Concerto clarinets are remarkably different in playing character.
That said, if the Lx in question is less than $750 in good repair (and pretty) then its a good value.

my assessment of the Leblanc LX2000, pitched in A (for future reference):
nice, solid sound. very responsive in the altissimo range. low range is a tad muddy, but not so much that it is irritating. even, fluid scale, reasonable intonation.
my biggest complaint is the short-ish RH pinky keys. i feel like i'm reaching a bit for the RH C/Eb/low F/Ab.
Botch: this particular clarinet is very pretty, either unstained, or lightly stained (i love the look of unstained grenadilla wood!), and what looks to be silver-plated keys. the logo stamp is bright and unblemished.
overall, i'm happy with it.

Highly touted when newly developed. Preceeded the line developed by Ridenour.

My LX has a centered focused sound with a good response throughout the range. Keywork is very comfortable for my hands. My LL has a more spread sound probably due to the larger bore. Both are great horns and I switch back and forth between the two.
