My A clarinet plays very sharp. It's a buffet and I'm using a gigliotti moutpiece. Any suggestions on a new barrel?

There are two models of Gigliotti mouthpiece, one pitched at 442 and the other at 440. If yours is the 442 model (as I think most of them are), you might try the lower pitched one.
As I'm sure you know, Vandoren also makes mouthpieces at "American" pitch of 440 rather then the higher European pitch.
The barrel's bore can affect its pitch almost as much as its length. Go to one of the barrel makers here to discuss solutions. One possibility, which Hans Moennig used, is to make the bottom socket deeper than the length of the top tenon on the upper joint, creating a "pocket" that effectively lengthens the barrel.

Hi, Of course a longer barrel is a solution. I have a Buffet A and I use a 67 mm barrel. I keep the middle joint pulled out a little bit and sometimes even pull out the bell a little, that way the entire clarinet is a little longer not just at the barrel.
I used to use a Moennig barrel, and then changed at some point to a Chadash and now I use a Backun. Always for what I considered to be an improvement in both intonation and tone. There are many different barrels out there. Try a few to determine the length that is best for you and then try several different manufactures, they're all different. It's also possible that one manufactures 67mm will play the same pitch wise as another’s 66mm. Good luck, ESP
