i was just wondering if anyone had any experience, or wanted to share an opinion about patricola eb clarinets?
also, what of selmer ebs of the 60s/70s vintage? nothing like the 20s selmer that ted johnson played, or similar?
thanks!! : )

I had one back in college. I loved the sound, but the pitch was dicey. I had to have a lot of work done.
Give em a shot for the price!

My Patricola Eb came with some hardware flaws that I had to get taken care of before I could play it at all. It has really good intonation with a Vandoren B45, but extremely, extremely short 12ths with all other mouthpieces I've tried. Despite these issues, I'm happy with it. It happens to look and smell nice, too.

I tried a bunch of them out at the factory last summer. I LOVED them. They are really substantial instruments, and if my husband hadn't bought the set of A/Bb I would have definitely bought one.

Mine works fine- very well built and excellent tone. Intonation best with the Vandoren B45- I was told this by one of the Patricola brothers at the NAMM show.
