 Bb Clarinet Make/Model Recommendation?
Author: JackFeeney

Hello. This is my first post.
For the past few months I've been playing a Xaphoon (sort of like a simple system one & 1/2 octave clarinet) and loving it! I love that full, reedy sound.
Now I'd like to jump up to a Bb clarinet, to play Brit/Amer/Celtic folk songs in the chalumeau-register, clarinet "home" keys of F major and F mixolydian (Bb major, but starting down a 4th); penny whistle stuff (transposed, of course).
Anyway, I'll probably buy one from Clarinuts; I'd prefer plastic; and I can't really spend more than $250 or so.
Can anyone recommend to me a "make/model"?
Many thanks...

General advice: try before buy, or with a generous trial period and full refund. For $250 or much less I have bought wonderful Ridenour TR147s off the internet auctions.
