There seems to be this big discovery of these new mouthpiecers that Vandoren came out with. I was wandering what others thought about this particular mouthpiece.

I use this mouthpiece with my R-13 and I really like it. I've used it for about a year and a half now with Vandoren V-12 3.5 reeds, with no problems. I like the dark, centered sound I can get out of it, not bright. It's fairly easy to get a good sound out of it (I guess the term is not very resistant..??) , at least compared to other mouthpieces I've tried. I'd like to hear what other people think too.

I have several mouthpieces and I like the B45 a bit better than the M13. The tone seems richer to me. The intonation and clarity of the throat notes seems better on the M13 though. There was a discussion of this about a month ago. You can probably search and find it.

I have an M13 and V13. I prefer the V13 on my Buffet R-13. For me, I can make register leaps more easily.

The M13 that I tried was dark, yes, but it didn't give me the projection that I needed. I finally chose the standard 5RV Lyre...it was an "all around" type mouthpiece. Although, not as dark as the M13.

I play with M13 Lyre(V12-4/Chadash barrels/great ligature) for about two years. I love this centered sound, excellent articulation, intonation, projection, colours and flexibility.

I play with an M-13 Lyre. I really like the tone I get out of it and my pitch quality also was helped greatly too. Anna
