just out of curiosity.
does anybody here on this board play a wurllitzer bass clarinet?
how does it sound and feel compared to a buffet?
do any internet reviews exist about this instrument?
i havent found one.

I haven't played one but I heard one in a master class about German vs. France bass clarinets. A Dutch player played a Wurlitzer and (I think) a French player played Buffet. I did like one more, but I think it was more because of the playing than the instrument.
I have a picture of one, would that help you?
The player I know who plays Wurlitzer bass clarinet is Romke Jan Wijmenga who I think is from the Rotterdam Philharmonic. Maybe you should try contacting him (I'm sure you can do it through their website).

Steve Bates, bass clarinet in the Kennedy Center Opera Orchestra, plays a Wurlitzer German system bass clarinet. sounds very good on it. A local freelancer has a reform Boehm Wurlitzer basset horn that is a sensational instrument!
The sound is more compact than a Buffet or Selmer -- doesn't have quite the carrying power of the French marques, but it is quite pleasing to the ear.

thank you for your infos.
to me my german system clarinet sounds more "wooden" than a boehmsystem clarinet, which sounds more "open","balanced".
it appears to me that this could translate to german and boehm bass clarinets, too.
