I received my 5RV Lyre yesterday. I do not have playable reeds right now. This is my 9th year into clarinet playing and previously I have used Vandoren Traditional #3 reeds with yamaha 4c mp. So, I've been looking at Vandoren 56 Rue Lepic 3.5 or 3.5+ reeds and wonder if they will work with my new mp. any suggestions?

The 5RV Lyre has a free-blowing, medium open curve. Vandoren Traditional reeds are fine for it. Start with a 3 or 3.5 and find what suits you.

don't get the Rue Lepic 3.5+ those reeds are stiff for me. The 3's play like 3.5s, so your best bet if you do go that route is a 3, especially for a 5Rv.
