today i experienced something rare.
i went to a concert with Martin Frost and the Dala Sinfonietta.
he was conducting and playing the mozart concerto on bassetclarinet.
i was totaly stunned. it was THE best preformance i have ever seen. i was sitting in the front row, just one and a half meter from his bell, hearing every little thing.
the expression and dynamics was excellent. and the phrasing...
i dont how to write it. but like, when you heare something and feel that that is just the way its supposed to be done. no other way to play it is "right". and every time that feelings come over me i get a huge rush of adrenaline.
tonights concert was allmost an hour straigth adrenalinekicks!!!!
he had total controll. sometimes his tone was as quiet so one wanted to lean forward to hear but still it was as powerful that it filled the entire hall.
and his way of playing the music, it made me cry silently during the second movement!
he putted the missing pieces in my mozartpuzzle to its right places.
if you get a chance to hear him live. take it!!!
(just had to tell someone. :D let it out of the system. but speaking about it.
name the best preformance you have ever seen.
