I'm about to sell an unplayable Martin Frères La Monte clarinet (kinda Pruefer Silver Throat clone), and although it is advertised as "defect" and "needs overhaul" the bid is higher than for the average ready-to-play Bundy/Vito etc.
(no, it's not on That Site nor on any other you can bid without registering via snail mail - no chance)
So, gimme the stab of death - am I giving away a gem for peanuts?

Where are you selling it? Not everyone has the 'Ebay' experience and not everyone is well versed in clarinet makes and what they're worth.
You've probably done an extensive google search for that make, so you know as much as anyone else.
There's a huge glut of old clarinets on the market. It looks like you're lucky to sell it.

Peanuts? Define peanuts.
Jimmy Carter peanuts, or Peanuts Hucko?

I did get one of these of that auction site for $25 with a nice case, and found that the keywork is definitely of student clarinet quality, but the sound is surprisingly good. The wood is also of very decent quality.
Don't think that this model is particularly a gem, but when put into good play condition you can get a sound on par with an E11

Actually it's not wood but greenish hard rubber with a metal lining in the upper joint.

If you can't play it, maybe someone else can. Enjoy your loss and what good it will bring.
Hmmm, better try it again, or not.
