 undercut tone holes

Are the edges of the undercutting at the bore rounded, or are they left as sharp edges? Benade determined they should be rounded. Comments please.

Some are, some aren't.

And some tone holes aren't undercut at all, especially on A clarinets, it seems to me.

And some are undercut to a different shape from what they originally were, because the area has accumulated lint and hard mineral deposits, which are very difficult to remove from this area.

Was Benade writing specifically for clarinets, or could he have been referring to other woodwinds which have much smaller tone holes relative to the bore?
