Audition cut

I have two versions of the Weber Concertino--Hite and Schirmer. What do you guys believe would be a good cut, and when I mean cut I mean say 6-7mins or so of the, for an audition that the piece is supposed to last no longer than 2 mins. I've learned the whole piece intensively and I feel like it's something that I'm really strong at anywhere. I just have a hard time finding a cut. I've worked on it privately but I have a "fake" audition on the 8th and I can't get in touch with my teacher. He's been on his honeymoon and won't be back for another week. My Hite edition gives measures....128 -155 or something around there but I don't like that cut. Any other suggestions?

If the audition requires a two-minute piece, play a two-minute piece. You can't cut a ten-minute piece to two minutes.

You could start it at the 6/8 section with the slow B-C, rest, rest, F-E, rest, rest part.

Drucker did that with the NYPO in a young persons concert way back when Bernstein was doing them.

Short and sweet and you hit the ground running.

The 6-8 section that David speaks of, is my favorite section of the piece--it just feels so dance like. I can't help but my move upper body every time I perform that little passage.
