Could anyone help with info about this clarinet?
- The bell says Couesnon and has a 94 Rue D Angoule...
It also has a marking in a little circle that looks like it says 10CA, which through my internet research, leads me to believe it means it is from 1910. The bell looks to be in good condition except for a small gouge out of the outside edge near the metal part.
- One part of the "barrell"? says Bb and LP under that on the end of it and the other part has another Couesnon Paris stamp and also says Bb LP, this part has a deep scratch and what looks to be possibly a repaired split about and inch long on the end. The other part looks very good.
- The mouthpiece has a stamp that says Henri Selmer Paris and HS star star and looks to be in great condition.
- The small barrel piece that attaches the mouthpiece has a stamp that looks like it says something like H Bettoney Boston.
The corking has pieces missing all over and the "keys"? would probably need some work, although all look intact. I also have a case with it, which I don't know if it is the original case, but to my untrained eye, it could be because it seems old and is not in great shape. It is black leather? with silver color hinges and white stitching all around. The exterior is beat up, but all intact. The interior is a blue velvet that seems intact but has come loose from the inside.
Any info and help you can give me would be much appreciated.

Could you post some photos? The Couesnon (pronounced along the lines of 'Kway-noh') clarinets I've seen have been made from high quality grenadilla and all hand mounted keywork. Cases, corks and pads are consumables (like tyres, brake pads and exhausts are to cars) and can be replaced, rusty screws can be cleaned up or replaced and the wood and keywork can be cleaned and polished up and the lot brought back to life.
And with it being low pitch (designated by the 'L.P.' stamp) it's at modern pitch (440Hz) so a very useable instrument in a group setting and compatible with all instruments built today.

I will try to post some pictures, but not sure how well they will show. I have not been able to find much information on the couesnon of this age on the web and am at a lost as to where to go next.
