There is a recording by Rudolph Stalder. It's on CD and was released in 1987.
The label is Jecklin and the # is Jecklin-Disco 578-2. Not sure whether it's still available and I'm sure it's not the Hite edition but it might be helpful if you can find it. It includes several other works including a duet for 2 clarinets by Crusell, and the Ponchielli Divertimento for 2 Clarinets and Piano (Il Covegno) and several others. the other clarinet player is Heinz Hofer.
Jecklin is a swiss company based in Zurich.

btw- it's not the whole piece, but most of it.
Caution: don't be as expressive as that recording though, as the judges want what's on the page, not your own edition. So some of the quite musical and appropriate tempo fluxes he does are not ok in that kind of audition situation. Play it musically of course, but not too much rubato as that could be a problem with the judges.

The recording I have of this piece, perhaps obscure is:
"Il Salotto Virtuoso" Fone 95 F 05. Corrado Giuffredi, clarinet. It has both Mendelssohn concert pieces, and then other chamber pieces for oboe and bassoon.

There's a wonderful recording by Sergio Bosi on an Italian label. Not available on Amazon, and Gary Van Cott doesn't seem to have it either, but I reviewed it for "The Clarinet" and it is worth hearing. It shows up on Bosi's web site, along with a DV D that is listed as "not for sale", but heavily sponsored by Buffet - maybe a promo from them?
Anyway, surf to www.sergiobosi.it/ and follow the links to CD's and DVD's for more information.
