Hi --
I just decided to post this here, since there's undoubtedly someone who knows something about everything. I was just wondering if anyone had discovered a list of show music used in marching band repertoire, and a relative list of difficulty? I've found a lot of concert band lists like this, but not too many marching band musics. I suspect that most of them are on the same level, but I'd like to know if anyone knows of a list like this? Thanks.

Most of the truly good marching bands use specially written arrangements to fit the design of their drill routine. There are also published drill design/music arrangements that are available in music stores. When it comes to "marching band music" almost anything goes (classical, pop, rock, swing, etc) as long as it fits the talent and instrumentation of your band and the drill you are performing. However, if you are just marching down the street, any traditional march will do well. Good luck, and remember, left foot first and guide center on turns.

Is there such a thing? My band had our show music arranged just for us. The only published copies are the ones that the band director ran off for us. I know you can find popular music that might be played in a parade or a pep band and levels of that.
